Proposed Cricket Tour of Sri Lanka

Depart Friday 10th July return Monday 27th July 2026

As a result of successful VCV Tours in 2015, 2018, 2022 and 2024 to Sri Lanka I have had some enquiries as to when is the next one!

The 2022 Tour came at the time of Sri Lanka’s economic problems and in 2024 we were able to see a recovery in action across the Island.

This last week Sri Lanka was hit by a cyclone which caused considerable damage to the central region with loss of life, property etc.

The Sri Lankans are resilient and bounce back after being knocked down many times.

They are a welcoming community, provide great hospitality and rely on Tourism as one of their major income earners.

Whether it be sunshine, scenery, history, culture, golden sandy beaches, the greenery of lush vegetation, waterfalls, the hilly Tea Country Sri Lanka is a unique country to visit.

A number of VCV members have visited more than once and in fact some call Sri Lanka their second home.

I personally have now been 8 times and have many friendships.

I am seeking expressions of interest as we would require a minimum of 15 players and a minimum group of 25 people.

Currency fluctuations between the Sri Lankan Rupee, the $US and $A necessitate a conservative estimate of cost.

As a guide A$6000 pp twin share and Single Supplement A$1500 based on previous tours and currency fluctuations.

This covers airfares, accommodation at quality Hotels, most meals, sightseeing and entry fees to Historical and Cultural sites, transport in air-conditioned comfort and 5 cricket matches.

Should I get sufficient expressions of Interest I will proceed to formulate an Itinerary with costing through a local Travel Agent and my contacts in Sri Lanka.

This Tour is open to all age groups together with any other interested from Veterans Cricket.
