We Need You!

Volunteering for the Nationals

Volunteers play a vital role in this tournament.

Without volunteer involvement this tournament could not happen.

We need many volunteers to run this event.

Roles required are -

Administration - managing matchday correspondence and communication, checking tournament emails, calls; liaise with umpires and tournament director; manage tournament volunteers

Catering - organising pickup and delivery of match day lunches, preparing food as necessary, distribution of lunches to grounds, serving food, and cleaning up afterwards; manage match day drinks

Ground Liaison - working with ground staff each matchday to prepare for games including, signage, scoring facilities, team facilities; staffing; dismantling and cleaning at the end of the day’s play.

Scorers – principle scorers (2 per match) including updated reports and final results reporting to Play HQ coordinator

State Liaison - on behalf of the organising committee, working with each State to coordinate communication and concerns regarding tournament activities, rules and resources

Media/Communications - working with media, prepare and deliver press releases, manage website communications, uploading to social media, interviews etc

Events - managing and delivering Meet and Greet function, Presentation Dinner and associated fund-raising activities such as raffles. Possible serving of alcohol for Meet and Greet function (with RSA certification)

Organising Committee Member - attending meetings, sharing thoughts and opinions, delegating tasks prior to and during the tournament

Any amount of time given will be greatly appreciated.
